I finished my BSc in Computer Science Engineering at the University of Pécs this year. Four years in Hungary, a long way from where I grew up in Turkey, and a lot of late nights split between coursework and whatever side project I could not stop thinking about.
What the degree gave me
I was writing code long before university, mostly self-taught, mostly by breaking things. The degree filled in what I had skipped: the theory under the tools, data structures I had only used and never built, and the habit of reasoning about a system before typing. Some of the most useful projects were the unglamorous ones, like a Java wage calculator and a distributed Connect Four built as microservices.
The thesis
My final-year project was Linguify, an adaptive English learning platform with AI text to speech and pronunciation scoring. It was the first time I had to plan, build, and defend a product on my own from start to finish, with someone checking the reasoning behind every decision. That turned out to be good practice for running a studio.
What comes next
I am now working full-time on Coadite, my small software studio. In the last few months it shipped Godot MCP Studio and PubRestore, and İşlemde is close to launch. There is a lot more on the workbench.
The plan is simple: build small, useful products, ship them properly, and write about how they are made. This site got a redesign to match, lighter and calmer, with a lab of experiments and a component registry you can install from.
If you are building something and want a hand, my messages are open.
