A local-first AI setup tool for Godot 4 developers. It connects Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Cline, and other MCP clients to a Godot project in one click, and keeps them on a leash with permission modes the server enforces.
What it does
- 345 MCP tools across files, the live editor, and the running game
- Safe Edit and Full Control permission modes, enforced by the server, not the prompt
- One-click setup from a Tauri desktop app and a Godot editor addon
- Image Studio with a pixel-art canvas, animation timeline, tile designer, and asset library
- Free Lite edition for Windows and macOS, and a Pro edition with offline license keys
How it is built
AI client <-> Rust MCP server <-> Godot addon (editor + running game)
The MCP server, bridge, and licensing are Rust. The desktop app is Tauri v2 with React, the addon is GDScript, and the website is Next.js with Better Auth, Polar, tRPC, and Drizzle. Image jobs and live support run on Elysia and BullMQ.
It is the most mature thing I have shipped this year, with regular Lite and Pro releases.
